Many guessed Caldera, citing Vienna, an OP stack rollup Caldera helped deploy on Espresso’s Cortado testnet, as the “imperial city” referenced in the riddle. Good guess, but wrong.
AltLayer is a long-time contributor to the Espresso ecosystem. It deployed Arbitrum Nitro rollups on the Gibraltar and Cappuccino testnets, naming them both Kyoto, which is also the name of the city that served as Japan’s imperial capital for over 1,000 years 🇯🇵
AltLayer is also the RaaS provider for LogX, a rollup and perp DEX (yes, the one mentioned in the riddle) that integrated with Espresso in May.
