Personally.. I've been continuously raising issues about this since the beginning of this year, and now with the emergence of accounts getting abnormal "yaps" yesterday, it's becoming a hot topic everywhere..
1. Only those who scribble carelessly get yaps
-> I think anyone can agree with this. So should I become that kind of person? If it were that easy, I wouldn't even be writing this.
2. As mentioned by @semiko8585 and in the writings of the great Gamong, let's introduce an inner circle promotion system
-> I've been going around commenting on this since the beginning of the year, but none of it has been reflected at all.
Why is this important? Because @KaitoAI must have clearly defined the number of inner circles based on internal criteria, and if they maintain that badge without any activity, it inevitably harms those who are actively participating.
3. Improvement of the Kaito bot
-> Even if I want to leave praise for the Kaito system.. seeing someone with no interaction or proper posts receiving hundreds of yaps makes that thought disappear.
I understand that you might argue that you can't disclose it due to "internal criteria," but if that's the case, you should fairly grant it to those who write quality posts instead of leaving room for misunderstandings.
"Please, I ask for improvements"..
There are actually more issues than what I've mentioned above.. I'll replace those with tweets I've previously left. I sincerely ask for these problems to be resolved...
I will keep an eye on how this is being resolved, permanently saving all the processes at @irys_xyz.
(I'll just tag Iris here ㅇㅅㅇ Thank you!)

The fatal problem of Yapping at this point
There are reasons why voices of dissatisfaction and concern are erupting. The current Kaito Yapping clearly has issues. And in this state, it will no longer be sustainable.
The biggest problem is that for those who do not participate in Yapping, it feels like trash beyond just noise. The declining quality of posts from Yappers is the main cause. This is not necessarily a quality issue with the projects onboarding to Kaito. Nor is it a problem with the abilities of the Yappers. In fact, since everyone has been writing so much, they are now writing quite well. Their understanding of blockchain and crypto has also improved.
So why is the quality of posts declining? I believe there are two main reasons.
1. The algorithm for determining mindshare does not properly reflect the quality of posts. In the early days of Kaito, I spent an average of over an hour writing a single post. I searched for data, refined my thoughts, and tried to write a good article. However, this is an extremely inefficient activity in Yapping. It is more advantageous for mindshare acquisition to write 10 posts in an hour with just the keywords roughly matched and schedule them.
Moreover, since the measurement of mindshare depends on engagement with smart followers, it means nothing if they do not respond to a good post. Smart followers should select good posts, engage in discussions with them, and curate, but now they are just writing "shh posts" themselves, which is getting worse.
2. The duration is excessively long and even uncertain.
This is a bigger problem than the first one. No matter how good a project is, talking about the same topic for months is really tough. There is no more to say. There are even many projects without functioning products or adequate data.
In the early stages of project onboarding, good posts come out more than expected. However, as time goes on, everyone repeats the same words, and it gradually turns into "shh posts."
So what should we do?
1. We need to periodically replace smart followers based on the quality of posts. Regardless of the number of followers or relationships, anyone should be able to become a smart follower (inner circle) based strictly on the quality of CT posts and can be demoted again.
2. We must enforce a clear duration for reward campaigns. Indefinite TBD only produces shh posts. Even just clarifying the duration allows Yappers to control their pace and share good posts.
3. Kaito should at least set minimal curation standards for project onboarding.
4. Projects should continue to generate materials and noise that people can discuss. (We should learn from the old Mira Great Sutra or the methods used by @SentientAGI)
5. Even if Yaps do not promote projects, focusing on high-quality CT posts and rewarding those who provide new insights can be a good method. It’s a good way to encourage those who want to write high-quality CT posts. What are you doing with the remaining $KAITO?
I believe that Kaito and Yapping have had a much greater positive impact on this industry than negative effects so far. The fact that they have made people who were only receiving others' opinions or advertisements participate directly in the market is a significant achievement. Many people have unknowingly studied technology and gained their own insights.
However, Yapping was sustainable because there were listeners. Even within Yapping posts, there was valuable information and insights about technology and the market. The moment Yapping posts are seen as "ugly trash" from the outside, this meta is no longer sustainable.
I want to keep doing this for a long time.
(And this post is also for Sentient Yapping.)
