What is sub-account?
A sub-account is a secondary account connected to your OKX account. You can create multiple sub-accounts to diversify your trading strategies and reduce risks. Sub-accounts can be used for spot, spot leverage, contract trading, and deposits for standard sub-accounts, but withdrawals are not allowed.
How do I create a sub-account?
On the web
Open OKX website and login to your account, go to Profile and select Sub-accounts
Select +Create sub-account, then fill in Login name and select Account type
Standard sub-account: you can separate your funds to run different trading strategies by depositing and transferring funds into your sub-account. However, you're not allowed to perform withdrawals.
Managed trading sub-account: you can entrust your sub-account to a professional trading team. Ensuring your asset is safe and you can enjoy a better VIP rate during the binding period.
Select Submit all after confirming the information
Fill in and Confirm 2FA code to complete your sub-account creation
On the app
Go to the Main menu on the top right corner, select Switch accounts
You can see +Add sub-account at the bottom of the page
Select Next and add Sub-account name to create your sub-account
Fill in and Confirm 2FA code to complete your sub-account creation
Note:
Sub-accounts will inherit the main account's fee tier after 24:00 (UTC+8) on the day of creation, and the tier will be updated daily in accordance with the main account.
Regular users can create a maximum of 5 sub-accounts; VIP users can create 20-30 sub-accounts depending on your tier. You can view your tier permissions.
If you'd like to enable more trading modes for a sub-account or delete a sub-account, you can only proceed on the web.
How do I log in to my sub-account?
Login to your main account at okx.com and go to Sub-accounts
Toggle on the Switchable option to switch between your sub-accounts and main account
Toggle on the switchable option on the sub-account that you want log in
Select Switch on the sub-account that you would like to log in to. Alternatively, you can go to Profile > Switch account, and select the sub-account you want to log in.
